A few weeks ago I went back to the Dream Release Center to teach another sewing class. Another young missionary, Laura Pearce, has been staying at the Center for the last few months, and her parents stopped by to see her on their way to Africa. Don and Judy Pearce are associated with Open Door Enterprises, a group that does things such as dig wells. They have a ministry in Tanzania that they have visited before among a group of social cast offs such as lepers. So for this class we decided to make the people in Africa something special and attractive to let them know there are people somewhere else in the world thinking of them. We made drawstring backpacks, each different and each lovingly made!
